I enjoyed this fast-paced, action-heavy SciFi novella about Mars, who grew up as a human experiment and now is ultra-powerful, on the run from authorities, and has a very, very very high bodycount.
Very gore-y at parts (I had to skip one scene), but I enjoyed the casual and diverse worldbuilding and plot. Looking forward to the sequels.

The book was fine. I am probably not going to finish the series (mostly because my library doesn't have it), but I'll read a review/summary if I can find it.

I liked this. But. Miriam is so overpowered that there's never really much suspense or feeling of "how will she get out of this". I know she will pulverize people/ships with her mind and win. Sure she has the problem of her powers having some sort of vague limit before she's too worn out. But that limit always seems to conveniently be after she's crushed the majority of whatever threat she's facing.

Lacking character development. Predictable plot. But the action was ok. So if you are looking for a popcorn read, look no further. You won't be wowed but it also won't feel like a complete waste of time.
