I found it mostly well written, interesting, and delightfully quirky. I did struggle with a lot of the VERY Scottish slang, not just words and phrases, but the sentence structure which sometimes seems almost a different language? I mean I'm part scottish a few generations back and I wish I could get behind that but...it was distancing. :)
