Extremely millenial (said with love) and very British (neutral).

I loved the fourth wall breaking that Lewis added to this book, both to talk to his younger pre-transition self and in interviewing his friends and family on what they feel/understand now versus back then.

This is such a recent publication I do wonder how much of the humor will land with the intended audience of todays teens (I don’t really get their humor so honestly idk) but I think it’s fun to embrace some of the cringe. It’s a very silly memoir at times but still had a lot of heart in it.

Reminded me a lot of Fun Home but more juvenile…

really enjoyed this, the past vs. current perspective, and the real photos behind the story.
