This was a good book and I enjoyed it. The reason I gave it 3 stars is was predictable and just a little drawn out. It did, however have some interesting twists. I would recommend reading it, but itโs definitely not my favorite.

This was my first read of Minka Kent and I will definitely be reading her books again. "After Dark" was fast-paced and included interesting characters. This flips back and forth between Afton and Sydneyโs POV's. I didnโt know who I could trust. It seemed like it could be an unreliable narrator. I liked that though because it kept me on my toes and is a main part of the reason why I finished so quickly. Some of the plot was a little unbelievable, however, sometimes I enjoy that if I can suspend my belief. All in all, this book was entertaining and I thank Netgalley and the publisher for the ARC.
Anytime I see Minka Kent has a new book, I RUN for it. This is my 6th book by her and I will be a life long fan. As someone who primarily reads thrillers, I enjoy ones that keep me guessing, make me feel jumpy, and have a good ending. This book fits that description and then some!
