I loathed the first third, hating every character and situation. The second third was intriguing and the final? Well I couldn’t put it down!

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It does talk about infertility and their journey to use surrogacy but it's the twists and turns and the different points of view of situations I wasn't sure which way it was going there was many oh now I see moments. The chapters were long so although it is a great read be prepared for it to take a while to get through (my kindle often told me the chapters were 40 mins long but I suppose I don't read quickly)!

Reading this book was a quick and enjoyable experience The chapters written in Marisa’s POV were so believable and her perspective made Jake and Kate seem despicable!
I enjoyed the plot twist as I did not predict it.
The ending wrapped everything up nicely. I would recommend this book to readers who have enjoyed soap operas and dramatic media. The message about doing anything for your child was clear and helped me sympathize with the women in the story.
Thank you to netgalley and Simon & Schuster for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

It was not what I was looking for in a book. It was slightly underwhelming and too abruptly wrapped up
