What's more fun then four friends going on their first road trip to a music festival? How about hiding a body and trying to solve who is spiking the drinks of attendees hoping they turn into gruesome monsters?

This book was such a fun read, it gave almost Scooby do "who done it" vibes in the best way. Amazing LGBTQIA+ representation, I was griping my kindle reading so fast to see what happened next. The mystery and the love story had me on the edge of my seat.

Really cool concept and such cute friendships and wlw romance. Hated the lesbian character being in love with a straight girl trope (you win some you lose some). The plot twist was really predictable and even though the book came with a trigger warning page it didn’t talk about the racism in the book? Which is off-putting to me especially when reading from non-black authors, paired with the first three pages being like, “This is Zoey, this is Zoey’s Black friend, this is Zoey’s white friend, and this is Zoey’s Latina friend”. Like it just gave me an icky feeling having the characters introductions being reduced to their race. I don’t know if maybe I had a bad copy because there was also some grammatical errors and my epilogue chapter says “ehilogue” so idk. All that aside it was still a fun story to read, I just don’t think I’ll be picking up anything else from this author.

Ghouls on meth make for a pretty cool story!

Overall it was a fun read, a bit gory, but nothing too scary. The concept was interesting though it just lacked a bit of intensity, but I think that's due to the YA genre this book is in. Unfortunately the big reveal at the end was a bit boring, and things were ended roughly. Luckily the rest of the book made it worthwhile reading, I mean who doesn't want to read about 4 cannibalistic friends?

I honestly would love to read a full horror, adult version of this, that would be one sick book to read!
