this was a fun read and still thought-provoking! the horror element was a bit more emphasized in this one compared to her previous book. the author’s writing has strengthened as well, and so has the characterization of their main characters. though i found zoey a little bland at times, i loved the other three characters and thoroughly enjoyed reading about their friendship (i only wish jasmine got some more attention). zoey and celeste’s relationship was really sweet! what a unique premise that was pulled off pretty well
