I was pretty disappointed that this book has taken us so far afield from Soren and Coryn, so it took me over a week to finish it. It was just okay - I'm just not as interested in the backstory here.

A dying Ezylryb tells Soren and Coryn to read the legends of Ga'Hoole. Together the two owls learn about the first collier, Grank.

Man, do I love Pamela Garelick’s narration. I really do think the experience with this series is improved immensely if you go with the audiobooks. I also loved Theo and Svenka in this book. Grank is such a simp for Siv, I respect it.
