Had a weird wind echo on the audiobook. I couldn’t finish it because it was so distracting. Other than that it was fine story wise.

Yes, I'm still reading this series. This book is told a little different than the others. In addition to being book 9 of the series, it's also the first book of a series within the series. It is a story of how things came to be in the owl kingdom. It gives background on a lot of the legends referenced in previous books.

This book takes us back in time in the history of the owls of Hoole to the creation of the first owl to tame fire (the first collier). Pretty solid, although not one of my favorites. Perhaps just because I'm so attached to the characters from the first eight books.

This book! I've been really enjoying going through and rereading this series because I loved it as a child. And it's still very loveable now! It's a very easy read and is nice to do when you don't want something super challenging. I'd totally forgotten about one of the characters in this since I read it last and it was a joy to see him again. This book explores what the Northern Kingdoms are like during the time before Hoole is born. I especially love being able to make connections between what owls have said in earlier books about the Northern Kingdoms and what we see through the eyes of Grank

This book is much different from the previous Guardians of Ga-Hoole books. Soren and Coryn read a story of Ezylryb's about Grank, the first collier. A collier is an owl who deals with fire. The book tells the story of how Hoole, the prince, was born.
