I really enjoyed the book. I would have given it a 5 star rating if it weren't for how Inej treats Kaz's touch aversion towards the end of the book. Personally, I think the budding relationship aspect towards the end wasn't needed, but I understand the appeal. It's just a little bit disappointing as someone who is touch averse to see a character with that problem treated as if they are not enough as a romantic partner because of their boundaries.

glad to finally have read this!! it’s really lengthy and intimidating but truly went by quickly. definitely will be continuing to the next book!!

As somebody who rarely picks this kind of books I have to say that i was more than pleasantly surprised. The writing was so good and it almost never felt forced. I absolutely loved all the main characters and im already  emotionally invested. I don't know if I could ever reccomend this enough. It has been one of the best reads of 2022 so far:)
