I’m so tired of romance novels and movies glorifying toxic relationships where the women “fix” the men. Although we are given reasons why Miles struggled with relationships by the end of the book, the fact that he changed his mind about wanting a relationship after he had treated Tate horribly is not a positive message to send to women. Miles was emotionally manipulative, but we are supposed to praise Tate for sticking by him instead of being able to see her be liberated from a toxic and draining relationship where her partner did not respect her. I still give it three stars because the storyline with Rachel and Miles was so captivating, and the spice and chemistry between Tate and Miles is exactly what I wanted.

This book was the last one I read in February. And I bloody loved it.

🔆Ugly Love by Colleen Hoover 🔆

Review
Ugly Love is a romance novel and follows the story of Tate and Miles. It is the classic story, I’m sure we’ve all read before, the tortured male trope that can’t and won’t be loved.

Miles is the best friend of Tates brother and they meet when Tate comes to live with him. What follows is a sexy love affair, Tate falls for Miles and whilst it is obvious Miles is falling for her too he keeps a guard up.

You learn why Miles is the way he is, and actually it is pretty devastating.

The book is also written from the POV of Tate and Miles, each chapter it switches.

This was a super quick read, took me less than a day and was a good end to the month! Read it!
