a disappointing read, the ending felt random and made no sense and the writing was very cliche, I was cringing at many parts I also found some parts very unrealistic?? don't want to spoil anything though
also definitely not a fan of the main character

other than that the plot was really intriguing and intense! there were definitely parts that had me on the edge of my seat

I expected more, I think it was just the writing style that threw me off.

I had a chance to read this wonderful book early! Prepare yourself for tons of morally ambitious teens, betrayal, Asian American rep, secrets & lies around every corner and a dramatic ending! You won't want to miss this one.

I have read 2 other boarding school books recently, really enjoyed The Ivies and liked Ace of Spades but it was way too over the top, even for YA. I almost didn't continue with this one because I thought I was worn out with this trope, but I liked it more than I expected to. The sequel was left with an intriguing set up!

God this book put me on the edge of my seat. All these characters are unlikeable but they were fun. Our MC may be insufferable at times but she made it interesting (though that decision with that ONE PERSON,,, hate it). It was a thrilling ride!

EDIT: After simmering with this book, I've decided that some of the themes and issues this book wants to discuss is discussed so shallowly and quickly, due to it's fast-paced nature. But it's still an enjoyable read.
