Meh. This volume ends in basically the same way the previous volume did, except with some massive explosions in the middle of Neo Tokyo. The plot hasn’t moved forward significantly, characters are still ciphers, and it all seems like mindless action for action’s sake. No thanks, I’m done with this series.

Holy crap, things have taken a weird turn here: the book and the movie storylines begin to diverge. It's awesome that the action is so well paced, but it's sad that it makes me skip pages too fast. I guess a future re-read is in order to fully appreciate the art.

this book serves as a filler book (hence the 4 starts, not 5) nonetheless, it's still incredible with amazing art and is continually action packed!

Holy shit. The way this volume ends is nothing short of epic, and the art is gorgeous. I find it curious that basically this entire volume was trimmed from the movie.
