Liked it and good setup for the next books(s). Definitely not for short book readers!

Not as good as the first, but still quite entertaining.

As with the first installment, this was a bit tedious in the setup, mostly because the setup was about 3-400 pages long. But, again like the first one, once it really got going, it was great. Not for everyone, and nothing compared to Cryptonomicon, but pretty darn fun.

I love this series of books. It really gives a gret backdrop to that part of history (& I love reading historical novels). This should be must-read material for people who want to get a better grip on history :)

I'll die halfway through The System of the World I reckon. Like do the last thousand pages of this damn thing have a point? It's Neal Stephenson so PROBLY NOT

A very slow book, but a very good book. Apparently, I've heard that this book and its predecessor, Quicksilver, is all a lead-up to The System of the World, which is where the real story begins. I hope that's true.
