It's beautiful and terrifying at the same time.

This started off more descriptive of the post pandemic world but slowly the stories came together. It was a little anticlimactic with the main antagonist but the ending felt perfect.

So happy to have read this book during quarantine. In a time where we’ve lost so much, Emily St. John Mandel has made me appreciate all that we still have

I absolutely loved this book. I can't believe I've had it on my Kindle for about 4 years, not reading it because I thought it would be too bleak, too pretentious. Why on earth did I think that? I was compelled to read it after watching Priscillas (https://www.goodreads.com/theeveningreader) "Books of the Year" video on YouTube. Thanks Priscilla!

I loved the constantly changing timelines, the characters and the fact it wasn't just a Walking Dead style zombie apocalypse novel. It was far more nuanced and not a zombie in sight!

Definitely one of my books of the year (yes, it's only January)
