Liked this even better than the Percy Jackson series. A little more complex (not a whole lot) and just like PJ, very easy to read.

Reread the book I am changing my rating from 3 stars to 4.

While I still liked this book, I really struggled to connect to the characters initially. Jason and Piper seem quite bland to me, with Piper exuding "I'm not like other girls" vibes, and Jason coming off as... a bit bland. Throughout the book I gradually felt more attached to these new characters, but for some reason I couldn't connect to them as much as other characters in this series.

However, I still enjoy the HOO series A LOT overall, so I would recommend reading this. The ending also makes a great bridge to the next book :)

Don't get me wrong, this book was AMAZING, but I kept on searching for more, mainly because I love the Percy Jackson characters and was searching for more of them, especially Percy who, in a sense, wasn't really in the story at all.
