I fear Mr. Riordan tried to fit a bittttt too much into this one, it was a struggle to keep all of the dreams and prophecies straight. Other than that, this was such a good book and I am very excited for the rest of the series! I am loving the inclusion of Roman mythology and seeing the contrast between that and the Greek mythological aspects I am familiar with from reading the Percy Jackson series.

I loved the book even tho at times it was really slow and I did miss the characters from the other books but overall I enjoyed it

At first I didnt like these new main characters but after a while I came to like them more and more. Especially Piper and Leo.
The absence of Percy was a bit of a bummer at first but i got invested in the new characters real quick and thanks to character like chiron, annabeth and rachem returning, its not only completely new characters.
One of the criticisms I have to point out is that there were too many new characters introduced at the beginning of the book over a too short period of time. And the story is pretty samey with a lot of similarities to the earlier pj books.
