I would have appreciated a more substantial or a better-organised bibliography, but so many of the chosen texts brought me a lot of joy so I can't help but give full marks.

It was really nice to read a book with a really diverse range of authors. I liked that so many stories came featured a variety of experiences and came from many different countries. That being said, a lot of these stories felt very weird to me. It was an interesting read, but not stuff I normally would seek out, and just not quite to my taste. There was a fair amount of sex, drugs, and just weird and semi-disturbing content so it is, unfortunately, not a volume I feel would be easy to recommend to others as I feel like there’s a fair amount of content that I wouldn’t assume everyone would be comfortable reading.

Jeanette Winterson’s “Why do you hate men?” includes gross transphobic messages. This was really disheartening as there is no warning in the authors bio section and the anthology does go to the effort to include trans folk.
In Jeanette Winterson’s “Why do you hate men?” the author uses hateful language towards a trans woman.
