This is a cute little romcom novella. I liked the grumpy sunshine dynamics. I honestly wish it was longer i tbink a full length book of these characters would have been fun. This is why i always struggle with novellas because i want more.

Effie wakes up in Vegas one day to a trashed hotel room and, surprise surprise, a wedding ring on her finger. What is supposedly only a business trip with her boss ended up with her being married to said boss. The two have no recollection of the night prior and this novella has them retracing their steps in order to jog their memories.

As per usual with this author, the writing is superb. It's easy yet compelling for just a few pages.

However, as I have read a few CM novellas before, this one seemed to have dialed down on the chemistry between the main characters. Even the steam here took a couple more pages to make an appearance. This focused more on the whole 'quest' of how they got married with steamy scenes inserted here and there as part of mere flashbacks. It didn't make for a bad story; it just wasn't what I was expecting and hoping for when I dove into it.
