Green Eggs and Ham

Dr. Seuss

4.21 AVERAGE

There's a reason this is a classic, and reading it with adult eyes gives me a whole new appreciation for the wondrous simplicity. (It's also good for encouraging children to try new things!)
funny lighthearted relaxing

This is a great book for young readers and ESL students. It allows simple words with similar sounds to be repeated and practiced in a fun story.

I remember my uncle would read this to my sister, just because her name is Sam. Just recently for her birthday she got a Sam I Am stuffed animal. *sigh* nostalgia.

Can't wait to use this book in the classroom!

Sorry not sorry…. I’m logging this…

Whoops
I’ll remove it if I feel like it but

loved every bit of it, when I was a bit younger of course : )

The classic green eggs and ham! This is such a delight to read and one I don't mind reading to my sons over and over again.

The story is both comical and informative: a great anecdote about trying new things for my very picky, very stubborn child. It's also good for talking about spatial relation: in a house, on a tree, etc.

Always gets the giggles going.

Mother Tongue notes: Very helpful in increasing confidence levels around reading more words on a page. By the time the text is longer, the words have become repetitive and beginners only need to sound out a few new words.
