I was a bit bored with this book originally, however as the narrative developed further I really started to enjoy it. I realised it was so much more than a classic romance novel and although narrated wholly in the voice of the protagonist, provided so many interesting insights into what love means to different people. I started to get a bit emotional towards the end and definitely feel fulfilled after reading this!

Book Review:
After I do by Taylor Jenkins Reid

“Maybe it doesn’t matter if you need someone during the everyday moments of your life. Maybe what matters is that when you need someone, they are the one you need. Maybe needing someone isn’t about not being able to do it without them. Maybe needing someone is about it being easier if they are by your side.”

This was another brilliant easy read! I love the way TJR writes. I love her stories. Nothing major stood out or happened in the book that made me jump out of my seat or scream or cry like some of her others. I still enjoyed it and would still recommend reading it if you love TJR.

“Laughing and crying are so intrinsically tied together, spun of the same material, that it's hard to tell one from the other sometimes.”

Rating: 3/5 ⭐️

A quick read like all from Taylor Jenkins Reid with an emotional storyline about how we can take our partners for granted, leading to resentment.
