It was nice to see a little what happened after everything but otherwise nothing special.
"She was swept away by a storm off women"?! I'm definitely not a suckered for those happy endings where the heroine is prepared for the wedding by her female friends and the hero (I know Warner wouldn't consider himself a hero) is  preparing with his male friends and then they move into a house. I get that they want to have peace and be together but still... I felt like Juliette was depicted less powerful and more playful than I would have expected her to be, even that now is her first chance to be it. It felt cliché.

Giving it a .5 for the very end being cute.

I don’t want to say a whole lot about this one.
There was unnecessary drama in this book mostly from miscommunication. I’m a hater of miscommunication.
I wish it had been more about navigating this new post war time world they appear to be in. What are they doing to make things better? This book barely touched on that. It also would have been great to see Ella and Aaron working on a beautiful wedding together.

Glad to be finished with this series.

Reads like an epilogue for the final book but had multiple open door scenes. If you are big fans of the main characters you might enjoy it, felt unnecessary for me.

Ok many, like MANY people might dislike me for this but I like Kenji more than Warner. I feel like after Imagine Me he turned into an asshole like Kenji or Nouria helped him a lot and he just treated them so badly it hurt me.
But this series is still my top series ever.
Thank you, Tahereh. (Mainly for my husband Kenji but hey;) )

I could probably take or leave this final novella of the Shatter Me series. I didn’t hate it but I didn’t love it either.
I didn’t really like all the secretive wedding planning and keeping that from Aaron so that Juliette could surprise him. But I also kinda understand what Mafi was trying to portray by writing it this way. Aaron is a tortured soul who thinks nobody likes him and that everyone is better off without him, so by everyone mucking together and planning this wonderful surprise for him it sort of demonstrates that he’s maybe more liked than he thinks he is, even if he does treat everyone other than Juliette like an ass.
It just felt as though Aaron only had two moods during this which were overly worried about everything and then overly mean to everyone. And it makes me sad because I feel that he is far more complex that just those two emotions and it wasn’t in keeping with Aaron’s character that I’ve loved throughout the series.
I’m not 100% sure what I’m trying to say, I just felt that this was not a fantastic ending to the series and I probably could’ve stopped at Imagine Me with no epilogue. Sure it’s always nice to know what characters are up to after saving the world, but really I only want to know as long as the character development is good and I just didn’t feel like this novella was it.
Not a great deal actually happened, which is fine, as long as the writing is good and the things the characters say and do make sense and add dimension to them. But I’m sorry Mafi, aside from Kenji (who was a dream as always) this one just fell a little bit short for me.

Taylor swift songs: “lover”

I would highly recommend reading this novella! It really adds a lot to the story, as it is told from Warner’s POV before their wedding. I feel like this was a great ending to the series (I think it is the last one) but the ending to the story was left in a way that it could potentially continue. I would love to see how these characters continue on after defeating the reestablishment. I really hope there are more books, but this one was great. It was so romantic, and made me love Warner even more. And the character arcs in this are great!! I love seeing the development of Kenji and Warner’s friendship. All around, I really liked this.

This one is the spiciest of all of them. I have to say I liked it better when it wasn’t as spicy as focusing more on the emotional intimacy. I’d say it’s about a 2/5🌶️ still not too graphic but really heavily inferring what is happening. Yep, I think about as spicy as Emily Henry now. It’s way more than the other books. Side note: how do they not get pregnant? Bc I’m fairly sure the rebel group doesn’t have access to birth control.

It was good, but honestly it could’ve been better. The ending was amazing. Loved the wedding. Also Warner and his dog— LOVE.
