Probably a 3.5/5 - I liked the premise well enough. I even liked how the characters interacted. But, I’m not sure I felt connected enough to the story within a story and those characters? The stronger pull or significance was lacking, and I don’t know if I felt connected to any of the characters strongly. I appreciated the twist. It wasn’t entirely unforeseen, but it was interesting! I did miss the typical Emily Henry banter between Alice and Hayden, it was only very loosely there and not…fiery enough. I think the very end was my favorite part.
