Twists and turns. Taboo aspects. Emotions. Angst. Explosive moments. LJ knows how to pull you into a story. This is an unusual slow burn romance. Very non conventional. I enjoyed the journey.

OOOOOOOOOOOO this was a fun one. Fallen Foe has enemies to lovers, taboo romance, grumpy meets sunshine, AND country and city mouse vibes. It took me a while to get through this one because I couldn't quite predict where it was going. Overall a fun story with a decent amount of spice.
Trigger Warnings:
step-sibling relationship themes throughout - my advice is to push through the first few chapters and then it eases.

Fallen Foe was like a truth bomb that ends up going unnoticed. It was raw and bittersweet, with a gentle sweep of endearance.
Arsène and Winnie’s story quickly grabbed my attention and seized hold of my heart. If I'm ferociously honest, it was Winnie's character that was so easy to love and to care about. And she was the only one for quite a long time. She had a heart of gold. Arsène couldn't be more opposite; harsh, cold, robotic even.
She seeked love. He belived he never deserved it in the first place.
After a tragic accident occurred they finaly had one thing in common...
My heart ached for these two as they took me on a journey that had my emotions all pulsating, and left me with a melted heart and starry eyes.
