Listened to this one, also, and while I am always a sucker for boarding school mysteries, this is a legit good mystery. One of my fave Agathas.
It's fine. But with casual racism about how POC girls grow up faster than white British girls, it's not one I'll feel like rereading. Just because it displays the sentiments of its time doesn't mean you're obligated to like it.
Come get me when this pandemic is over. I’ll be curled up with all the Agatha Christies until then.

Very well writtenand a very clever plot but some of the characters were not described in enough detail to really get a feel for their mannerisms etc
It is said that Agatha Christie began to dislike Poirot and I feel this is increasingly evident as he is now only entering the novels towards the end and very few of his thought processes are being described. It is now more as if he is being shoe-horned into the books

Found this at the house where we were staying and it was a perfect read. Took place at a girls' boarding school, which made it particularly fun. Have read it before, but still enjoyed trying to remember all of the twists.
I LOVED this book. It had so many twists and turns in the plot that I didn't know what would happen next! It is a murder mystery, but it's not gruesome in that they go into great detail about the death(s). Agatha Christie is one of the greatest mystery authors of all time and she'll always keep you interested! If you enjoy this book there are many others!
