Adrian reads all the Christies #12. Real black comedy theme to this one, great one liners and St Trinian's feel of the posh girl school setting, but also featuring a lot of grisly murder.

This ended up being one of my favorites in the series, even though Poirot doesn't show up until 60% into the book. I enjoyed the characters and the espionage.

If you churn out dozens and dozens of books, I suppose you’re bound to have a dud in there somewhere, even if you’re as accomplished a novelist as Agatha Christie. Even if one were to set aside the distasteful mess of Orientalist tropes—and that would be quite a thing to set aside, given their ubiquity throughout!—this mystery was sluggishly paced and hastily resolved.

Ceritanya gak selamban dan se-membosankan Death At The Nile memang, tapi kayaknya ilustrasi sampul edisi terjemahannya harus diganti deh.

Spoiler abis.

this is supposed to be a poirot book but he doesn’t arrive until 75% in the book and much of the book has aged very poorly
