I liked that all the stories were short and I thought it was an interesting experiment to explore different ideas of the afterlife. Some made me think; others less so.

Fun vignettes of what the afterlife holds in store. Definitely not a book to read through. Better to visit it over time and reflect on the individual experiences.

Some of these are clever and fun and others are a bit repetitive or belabored. Overall a nice book for late night calm reading!
informative slow-paced

The vignettes in this book range from insightful to bland. Some of them felt like a slightly rearranged version of others, while others were a joy to read. Since it’s a short read it’s worth it for the several stories that are profound, just expect the mix to be about 50/50.

Though this collection of tales and reflections can be a little hit and miss (admittedly I think this is due to some being too complex for me to understand) it deserves 5 stars alone for the select few entries that completely blew my mind. I've never read a book like this. You can almost see the complex cosmic rays of thought zooming wildly around your brain as you move down each page (and frequently back up to reread some exceptional descriptions) before colliding together in an explosion of revelation at each chapter's ludicrously well pitched ending. I'd recommend this to anyone and everyone, particular favourites 'Sum', 'Circle of Friends', 'Descent of Species', 'Metamorphosis', 'Search' and 'Reversal'

Very interesting ideas. this book broadened my mind.

A bunch of short, 2-3 page stories about different things that could happen in the afterlife.
