I'm not a usual mystery/thriller reader but I am a reality TV show lover! The plot concept was very intriguing and this book did not disappoint.

Such Real Housewives energy but tenfold. The drama, cattiness, backstabbing and plotting is thick in this book!! I loved how it all centered these oppulant, rich women and their hotspot, Glow Beauty Bar. the multiple POVs on audio was just fantastic with the cast of actors.

The ending did feel a bit abrupt but it felt realistic with how crazy this cast of character were the whole time. The buildup of everyone's character and background made you feel like it could've been anyone who was murdered and the murderer! But overall I think it was a great book that was great on audio, with something for everyone in the plot IMO. Will be checking out other works from Jeneva Rose.

YALL. DO NOT SLEEP ON THIS BOOK.
It was soooooo good!!
Think, Housewives of Atlanta but with murder. Think, Botox and fake boobs but with with malicious intent. Strong Alexis and David vibes.
Okay and obvi, the book is titled “One of us is dead” so you for sure have no idea who it is right up until the end. It’s a pretty slow pace (meaning there’s no actual action until the 50% mark), but you just need to sit back and enjoy your popcorn in the comments section. Because, DRAMA. I cannot tell you how many times I said the phrase “Girl, no he didn’t.” Or “omg ew. She’s such a b*tch” or “periodt.”
Let the tea just spill all out, yall.
GO READ THIS! Ok love you. Bye.

This audiobook took me forever to read, which is weird because I was enjoying it.

I jusy love reading about rich people drama. The beginning of this was really good and I was interested, but then in the middle I was kind of bored because it just felt repetitive. I wish there was more present chapters because I would honestly forget that someone was killed. *slight spoiler* Then the last little bit was actually shocking because I didn’t expect such a dark topic to be in this.

karen figures out she’s queer and is IMMEDIATELY okay w it and goes off and makes out with keisha in the other room like her friends aren’t like ten feet away from them. karen
was my favorite character and basically the only reason i was still listening.
i’m a queer bitch who needs yearning.

The slowest burn I've ever read from a thriller. Only picked up at the 7 hour mark. Which is a little unfortunate that you spend 7 hours listening to only get 2 hours of intriguing action.

This was like if an episode of Law and Order met Desperate Housewives. It was pretty slow up until like 70% then I finished it in one sitting.
