It was really good!! I'm not usually a big thriller person but I loved this one.

The whole dynamic between Nora, her ex and found family member Wes, and her new girlfriend Iris (who has endometriosis, which has an impact on the story, which I thought was really cool) was soooo good, it was one of my fave aspects of the book.

The whole thing with the flashbacks and the girls was really interesting, and the themes of abuse, survival, and recovery were super well-woven through the actual plot of the thriller. I definitely enjoyed this book a lot.

The Girl's I've Always Been is a touching and captivating story. About a girl who gets caught in a bank robbery. Where her, her ex and girlfriend are fighting to survive. But this girl has known all about survival and just exactly what makes people tick. This story has both heart and grit. Each page turn will leave you with more questions. Who is this girl? Where did she come from? And How will she escape?

Awesome! I was not expecting to love this as much as I did, but I'm glad to be surprised. Nora feels like a real person, a girl who's been forged by trauma and has learned to use it in order to become a fighter. The secondary characters, Wes and Iris, are more than just cardboard pieces to further the story. The are relevant to Nora and the plot's development. They have complex backstories that are worth exploring in future books. The descriptions of Abby and the grooming of her daughter's were sad, but like with any good con, you can't help but be drawn into the story. Loved it, could not put it down!
