I'm a fan of Andrea Long Chu's essays since I read her reviews on Hanya Yanagihara and Ottesa Moshfegh's novels, and I have been waiting to get my hands on Females for too long.

Needless to say, it didn't disappoint as an exploration of gender, sexuality, and everything in between.

Everyone should read this book, and everyone should hate it.

Author is honest, at least, about being a disgusting pseudointellectual who loves postmodernism and porn. Verso can't help themselves, they'd give anyone like this a book deal.
