Let me put this on the record, mob wars have never been more enjoyable. Instead of lots of blood and guts, Off the Record is about family and protecting those you love. That doesn't mean that bullets don't fly, because they do. It might seem wrong to say this but the bullets had targets that I totally got.

This book is the one I have been waiting for since book one. Annika and Rafe finally get their story. They get a second chance at love. Rafe can't let himself fail. He won't let himself fail. He won't let Annika crash. Easier said than done.

Annika had a terrible marriage. I didn't realize how horrible until Off the Record. The reader will experience mouth dropping moments as a conspiracy comes to light. Wait until you read all that has been going on. Who is behind all the manipulations? the deaths? the corruption? the plots? the blackmail? There had been a lot going on and it needs to end. But how?

Get ready to have your mind blown as mafia families start getting picked off. Cheer on Rafe and the others on when they get other families to unite to confront those out to get them. Resolution is beautiful. The ending is glorious. Love and family are stronger than greed.

The journey to this happily ever after was a blast.

The final installment of Kristen Proby’s, With Me In Seattle Mafia Series, Off The Record, is finally here! I’ll just sum it up real quick. This book is hot, suspenseful, and filled with so much family love. I’m so in love with all the Martinelli men, and their women, that I couldn’t pick just one even if I had to! Rafe/Rocco has been in love with Annika for over a decade. Rafe is just handsome, tough, and as loving as his brothers. Annika tries her best to resist Rafe because she still believes her family will not approve of Rafe like they did ten years ago while she was in college. But when someone tries to hurt Annika, Rafe and the rest of his family and Annika’s begin to “circle the wagons” so to speak to protect Annika and eventually the whole family. Throughout the story, twists and turns abound around every corner. I was quite surprised how it ended. I really loved this series. These characters are well developed and I have yet to be disappointed in a Kristen Proby book! I love it when an author will write an epilogue that wraps up the lives of the characters for the reader to know where they are and where they are going while still leaving room for more down the road. Oh, by the way, the between-the-sheets-action is very HOT! I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. *****

Oh my what an epic conclusion to what has been a whirlwind series! Kristen Proby please know I am here for all the mafia you want to write. This series features standalone stories for three different couples but you will enjoy so much better if you start from the beginning with Underboss so I recommend that one first. It also gives you time to truly fall in love with the two families.
Off the Record is Rafe and Annika’s story and oh what a second chance story this was. Rafe, his dedication and his love for Annika was everything. There was nothing he wouldn’t do for the woman he loved. He was so dreamy. Annika had all the understanding reasons to keep her walls up but with a love like theirs, those walls will only stay up for so long. I loved the sexual tension and angst, the suspense and anticipation, it was built up so well. I was on pins and needles waiting for these two to finally get together and when they did: hello fireworks!

I have been waiting for Rafe and Annika's story since we first met them in Underboss (the first book the With Me in Seattle Mafia series). There was something about their relationship from years ago that drew me in right away. And I was not disappointed in the least!

Rafe and Annika had met when they were in college and fell in love. Unfortunately, being from mafioso families that did not get along, they were not allowed to be together. Years later, at Annika's wedding, Rafe meets back up with her. When Annika ends up a widow, the Martinelli and Tarenkov families work together to figure out what is going on.

I loved Rafe and Annika! These two absolutely deserved to be together!

I hope there's more to this series ~ I'd love to get an HEA for Curt!!

**Update~ I've also listened to the audio and absolutely loved it!!

I feel like this was the best book of the series. It does help if readers read the first two books in this series. The book can be read as a stand alone. However, it will ruin the plot of the other books if read out of order. I really enjoyed seeing some character ties to Proby’s other Seattle books.

This book is about Annika and Rafe — finally one would probably say, because already in book 1 & 2 we learned a little bit of their past and that we could figure out that these two were not over yet!! By far not!
Annika is being threatened and Rafe and his brother’s plus their SO jump in to help figuring things out. But it’s not as easy as they thought, and more people are falling dead left and right. Can they find out who’s behind all of this?
Tension between Annika and Rafe is still high, and not just between them! The whole book is full of tension, suspense, love, and secrets are revealed step by step! This book is thrilling and kept me captivated from the beginning to the end!

I kindly received an arc and voluntarily left a review

While I did really enjoy this, I personally felt that there was something missing. I don’t know what exactly but I just didn’t get the same feeling I got when reading the first 2 books. I just didn’t connect with Annika and Rafe. Don’t get me wrong I really loved Rafe, and all the Martinelli brothers

Loved how this trilogy ended. It was fast paced but cute.
The Romeo and Juliet plot tho, I liked it but I didn’t love it.
I do feel that this could’ve been developed more.
**spoiler**
Like I get that Elena’s mother was the one behind them all murders and blackmail, but I feel like they killed her off too easily.
Also, I understand that what Annika went through was horrible but that plot line could’ve been developed a little bit more in dept, like she had issues but they handled them so lightly and from someone who deals with her own shit and demons, it ain’t that easy. Especially with you partner.
But it was good, not the best, but good overall.

3.5/5!✨
