This book legitimately hurt to read. My heart ached for the characters all throughout this one.

But, as always, Cassandra has offered another masterpiece of a story that is truly leading to what must be the most epic conclusion of all time. 😭🫶

The Details:
Narrated by Grant Cartwright and Eloise Oxer
Unabridged

I think this may have been my least favourite of the series. I felt like there was too much going on and I got confused at which plot I was following.

A lot of the side characters had some povs too, so I found it difficult to keep track of everyone, despite being familiar with their voices from prior books in the series.

I know this was an important novel, building up to climax, but it was very overwhelming with the abundance of threads that were weaving together.

City of Lost Souls
4/5

- yk... wasn't bad!
- i knew i was starved for this book but i didn't realize i was so starved for it that i could read it in 4 days...
- i liked the humor. that's one of the things i love about these books!
- i was absolutely disgusted and sick to my stomach with what happened between sebastian and clary. especially at the end of chapter 19 and the beginning of chapter 20... i had to put the book down from wanting to throw up. absolutely disgusting.

- WHYYYYYY DID MALEC HAVE TO BREAK UP UGHHHHH

jace was GOING to do the right thing but clary's STUPID LOVE FOR JACE GOT IN THE FUCKING WAY. can you stop being in love for TWO MINUTES and maybe... idk... yk... FOCUS ON SAVING THE WORLD FROM SEBASTIAN LIKE GODDAMN

- i wanted to throw this book across the room multiple times
- i loved the nice and cute romance but the minute the word "moan" is read, you immediately lose me
- i liked this book a lot, though cog is still #1 for me
- can't wait to wrap it all up :)
- again, i hate sebastian i am the #1 sebastian anti
