It is so hard to understand how someone can write a story like this and make it seem so real. At one point, a point of exhaustion, I thought is this a history book? H.G. Writes so spectacularly and vividly I now understand why the reading of this book over the radio caused a panic.
Read after watching the dire BBC adaptation...wish I’d read this years ago!
Some really cool ideas and some very disturbing imagery but it did feel very dated in places and I didn't like the style that the story was narrated.
