I feel like the author has really hit her stride with this book. There's character growth (the hint of a love triangle but not annoyingly so), plenty of action, and a good mystery. This time around, the setting is New York City and the cast is composed largely of vampires...with lots of puns on the undead. But the best part, in my opinion, are the hints of a larger story oozing into this episode, combined with the feel of calm before the storm. I'm intrigued to see where the series goes next.
