My favorite Laura Lippman novel so far. She is certainly an excellent writer but I thoroughly enjoyed how this novel was written. A wonderful mystery, great characters, and a trip down memory lane of 1960s Baltimore. Add this book to your Want To Read List ASAP!

Not a big fan. Felt like it dragged on. Being autistic, I think I may have missed some things written between the lines.
I really enjoyed the varying perspectives, even some of the side characters that didn't have a giant role in the story. Sure, some were a bit superfluous, but they never felt too tedious or long. The end/double twist was honestly confusing to me and I'm not sure super believable (but very real chance I missed something!?), but overall, a solid read and unique/well-done perspective of journalism/Baltimore in the 1960s.

Enjoyable read with surprising twists. I think Lippman caught the atmosphere of the changes in the U.S. in the 1960s and the dissatisfaction women were feeling with their lives as housewives.
