A beautiful story that made me cry. I will warn anyone about to read this one that it is tense for about 200 pages with a large foreboding feeling. I want to say that the storyline felt unbelievable that we should’ve been able to notice other pieces of it in the other books, but it’s written in a way that the mystery makes sense.
I’m really hoping that there is another book written about Alicia, but for the most part, the story is done and there is redemption for a lot of characters.

“Life goes on. It doesn’t give us any other choice.”
The Beartown trilogy has been a constant companion to me throughout these past couple years, the only certainty in the uncertainty, the only books to make me sob my eyes out. While I’m sad to have turned the final page, The Winners was the perfect end to a perfect series. I’m beyond exited to read the next of Backman.
