This book was way different from Karen’s other books and I’m here for it. It did start off a little slow, but that’s okay because the rest was really good. Family drama, long lost husbands, stepbrother, rich family, heist, mystery and a murder. So much was packed into this book. I had a feeling of the suspects, but was a little shocked still.

This started off well and was interesting, but then it got completely ridiculous. It kept getting more and more unrealistic and as I got closer to the end, I was just rolling my eyes at everything and everyone.

I really enjoyed this book! I am a big fan of Mcmanus's YA novels and so I was looking forward to read this one and it didn't disappoint. This novel felt a bit different to her others, it is still a YA thriller but the stakes are a lot higher as the characters navigate a jewellery heist, a murder and the plan falling to pieces with huge consequences!

I really loved both Kat and Liam and I liked that the story was told with alternating chapters from both their POVs which allowed me to get to know them a lot more and discover how they were feeling after every new piece of information was revealed. They have both had a difficult past with terrible, abusive dads and I really loved that they found each other again after a 48 hour Vegas marriage tore them apart.

The heist aspect of the novel was also very exciting and I loved the twists and turns as more is revealed. There were some really tense moments and surprises throughout and some of the reveals were a great shock! I was truly hooked right from the start and the more I found out, the more I needed to know what happened. There is a brilliant twist right at the end and overall I thought this was a standout YA thriller from the queen of this genre.
