I loved that this was centered around likable POC characters. Living their lives and trying to make the most of everything. So relatable and I was so rooting for everyone from the start. Trying to be strong as they all deal with being widows in a different way. Such a strong showing of mental health and the resiliency of human kind. The family secrets that emerge and their courage to deal with it all.
Karla Serrato and Cynthia Farrell did an excellent job representing the generations and the angst and grief the woman had. I'm not always great listening to emotional books, but these two definitely kept to the story and did not add additional emotion into the mix.

I really enjoyed this read and was not what I thought it would be. It was not as sad as I thought it would be. the advice on how to deal with grief was great and spot on. The glimpses of romance were so sweet; however, this is not the main plot of the story. The lack of communication could be frustrating at times, and I wished we may have gotten past timelines to see the deceased husbands' falling in/out of love with the FMCs.
