Started off stronger than it ended. 
I wish there hand't been any romance since it wasn't that well done and with the way the "resolution" was, it felt pointless. 
Liked the world and the writing.

The story line is creative and original. The magic system is well thought out.
There were interesting twists and turns. But the most captivating thing for me was the author's masterful prose. She was able to conjure dazzling images with skillful use of literary tools.

The story was great, the characters felt lifelike in their flawed personalities, the writing is pure art, and I will be reading the rest of them as they come out. I am so intrigued to know how it all ends.
