Literally nothing happens and the giant time jump at the very end of the book is absolutely ridiculous, made me DNF the series.

Welp, that didn't take long. The first book sucked me in and left me with a cliffhanger. This one did the same freaking thing and I'm left debating again if I bite the bullet and read the third book, which I've just learned inevitably leads to a fourth. 😂

After Haley fled Jax's tour and made her way to Nashville, she started waitressing to make money and did a lot of mulling things over - the revelation of who her father is and where things stand with Jax, considering he knew and didn't tell her. The two reuinte and things are more complicated than ever with her determined to finish school and get her app up and running and him set on this being his last hurrah before giving up his career entirely and focusing on his daughter.

This was good and again, super quick. It was something like 4 hours. I'm going to take a break from this series and do a reread of Fourth Wing.
