It is a good storyline, but a little slower than the first book. Definitely a lot of set up for book 3 that I am excited to dive into and see the action ramp up.

2.5⭐️ I’ve been waiting for the romantic pairing of Jax and Haley and I got subpar mediocre. It was disappointing and super awkward. Especially their first sexual encounter- cringe. I’m only going to read the next book bc I’m invested in them having something good together, even if Jax wants to be a prick and make rash decisions.

This wasn't as good as the first due to the characters not talking to each other like true partners. The romance was 3/5 spicy. But Jax being on page basically always being called sexy and hot all the time got old. Haley was more interesting but I guess it's fairly realistic that as a younger character she doesn't know how to express her feelings and reasoning for her decisions. The twists and turns were interesting enough to read but this doesn't stick in my head. I want to finish the series though. They always end on cliffhangers.......

What I Liked: I enjoyed this one. Not as much as the first in the series, but it had some nice points in it and I liked seeing the two main characters, Haley and Jax, get closer. The pacing is good, like the first, and it never felt slow. Their chemistry was just as strong as the previous one, and the sex scenes were well-written and hot.
What I Didn’t: I didn’t really get the reason why
Overall: I enjoyed reading this instalment in the series, it was fun to read.
Would I Recommend It?: Yes, if you want an easy to read rockstar romance with a bit of angst, but it is the second in a series and ends on a bit of a cliffhanger.

they split at the end. It felt a little bit forced, in my opinion, and I thought taking on Wicked felt a bit out of character for Haley.
