Dnf'ed at page 150. I'm a third through the book and nothing fucking happened. There's multiple povs from completely unrelated characters and time points and most of them are by Samson, which I guess is the implied protagonist of the book and "the watcher". If he's also the killer that's being talked about in the book I don't know and at this point I really don't care enough to find out. There's a reason why I usually only read books with a female protagonist and this one (like Catcher in the Rye) supported me in that decision. He's a whiny incel who yaps on about how bad his life is and how no woman wants him all while doing nothing about his situation and instead just using his ugly, awkward, unemployed ass to be a fucking mega-creep towards women and committing crimes in the hope it will get him laid. That's not how life works you weirdo! No, thank you!

En realidad serían 3.5 estrellas si Goodreads admitiese medias estrellas (seguiré repitiéndolo hasta que pongan la opción). En general no está mal, pero el principio es un poco lioso y con tantos capítulos de personajes diferentes me he aburrido un poco hasta que han empezado a conectarse todos ellos. Y bueno, el final es predecible y se me ha hecho largo, así que sí, esperaba más, pero tampoco ha estado tan mal. Entretenido y con un par de cosas interesantes.

Dark. Depressing. Exemplifies why I avoided mysteries for years. Violent. Creepy. Good character development, but not very likeable characters and just unrelentingly negative. Good plot twists but weird saccharine simplification at the end. I am going to pick something happier looking off the shelf now...

"Lo mejor sería no existir. Que hubiera existido otra persona en mi lugar." Y yo creo que sería mejor hubiera existido otro libro en su lugar. O por lo menos otro título. En alemán el libro se llama "Der Beobachter" ("El Observador") y simplemente fue una mala selección porque no se recibirá que se ha esperado.

Probablemente fuera una de las más aburridas novelas policíacas que he leído. Ya supe tan pronto quien está detrás de los asesinatos y desde aquí solo esperaba hasta los protagonistas lo averiguan.
Me puedo imaginar muy bien que pensaba la escritora pero el móvil del delincuente sencillamente fue mal reflexionado (esto particularizar en todos los crímenes aparte del primero).
