There’s a lot of Joelle Charbonneau novels I’ve loved, from the Testing to Need, but this unfortunately just wasn’t one of them. I was fearful of that from the start, with the first book only being mediocre. But I was hoping this one would pick up! With an average plotline and subpar writing (was this novel even edited?) while it was entertaining to an extent, I couldn’t actually recommend this to anyone. Read at your own risk.

Books and words have powers. This was a great conclusion to Verify. I enjoyed both books.

I love the premise, a modern day Fahrenheit 451, but the ending was a bit too similar to Hunger Games, even if it was the right ending.

Wow. This was better than the first book and so inspirational (and a little too close to reality for comfort).

"'No one is ever chosen to start a revolution,' she says, gently placing a hand on my shoulder. 'Revolutions begin because people step up, marshaling their resources and doing what needs to be done.'"

I DNF’d this at 94 pages, and I know I haven’t read enough to give up on it yet but it’s just a lot harder to get into compared to the first book. I probably will finish this one day but I’m not sure when that will be.

By the way for the people DNF books what do you shelve it as? (It’s my first time never finishing a book lol)
