Una ship che in parte mi aspettavo (Heart e Mason erano già stati "accoppiati" nel primo capitolo della serie) con una buona aggiunta: Lucky.
Come al solito i personaggi sono delineati molto bene nelle loro convinzioni e debolezze, ma la narrazione in certi passaggi si arena; avrei preferito qualche decina di pagine in meno.
Il personaggio che mi è piaciuto meno è Lucky: l'ho trovato un po' troppo calato nel ruolo di maschio Alpha, come se si trovasse leggermente sopra i suoi partner e sentisse il bisogno di educarli, come farebbe più una figura paterna.

I was admittedly slightly worried going into this mainly because mmm isn’t usually my cup of tea and I had really enjoyed the little moments we got of Mason and Heart in the previous books and was looking forward to seeing how their relationship panned out but slightly put off at someone else being added into the mix.
I felt Mason and Heart had such good chemistry and I really enjoyed their friendship and when things got a little more heated between the two. Adding Lucky in, at first, I didn’t quite like because of the way it was played out BUT I ended up really adoring the three together. Lucky added a balance to the trio. Mason and Heart were both insecure about the same thing but in different forms and Lucky added this confidence in that helped both men. They all three helped one another in different aspects — they needed one another to heal in the different ways they needed to. ( Plus the steamy scenes between all three were whew. )
While I did feel like some things were overshadowed by having three and it wasn’t my normal kind of read — I really did enjoy this. By the end I was melting from the their chemistry meshing together and how they all three completed one another.
Plus we got to see some former couples and other characters stories pan out a tiny bit which is always a plus!
Four stars because I love this series, the writing and this trio added a beautiful addition to it!

New Beginnings
Mason, Heart and Lucky made a great couple. I’m glad Mason and Heart stood up to their horrible exes. I hope Ranger gets his happy ending though.

I couldn't take it any longer...I had to DNF at exactly the 55% point
M/M/M is my favorite type of hot man on man love and I was so looking forward to this book. I was super annoyed that the author felt the need to have the characters admit their feelings about each other (all of that inner monolog) CONSTANTLY. If I had time, I'd go back and see if I was just imagining that this occurred every third page.
1. I really liked Heart. Maybe if he had been paired up with different men, I would have loved this book.
2. I really hate Mason. And when I say hate - his character is the biggest reason why I couldn't go any further with the book. I get that Mason has limited experience and his previous boyfriend dinged up his self-esteem HOWEVER he's probably the most passive-aggressive, manipulative character I have read in a very long time.
3. Lucky - well - he pissed me off. When you're in a position of power and you abuse it the way he did (and yes - he did....he made more visits than usual because of the lust he felt towards Heart and then there's the talks where he threatens indirectly, not to give Heart any privileges back). Yeh. This didn't sit well with me. If Heart had been a woman, perhaps others would have been jumping up and down, screaming about the imbalance of power in this relationship that should have never become a relationship.
This is not a healthy triad.
That aside - I very much have enjoyed the author's other series - Replay and Heathen's Ink.

Carino, ma non al livello dei precedenti. Io amo gli M/M/M, ma questo l'ho trovato piuttosto sottotono. Bello a livello emozionale e di crescita dei personaggi, ma poco eccitante.
Ho sentito molto la penna di Nora Phoenix rispetto a quella della Neuhold.

Please please please stop writing books with more than two main characters until you actually learn something about poly dynamics. The ones being depicted here are so toxic, they're going to fail instantly. The only thing keeping these three together is the magic of monogamous fairytale dreams.
This book also has pacing issues, with such little plot it's barely there. There are wide stretches of the book where nothing happens but flirting. Incredibly long drawn out scene after incredibly long drawn out scene. It was a slog getting through this.
The characters are sweet but in no way realistic. And for how long this book is, we lacked the right amount of depth for any of them. Especially Mason, who is just a lamp.

This one fell flat for me. Which makes me sad, because I loved the first two books in this series. I was really excited to read Mason and Hearts story.
Mason fell flat for me. While I understood the geeky, nerdy vibe he had going on...holy heck was he really self-conscious. I get it, his ex-boyfriend wasn't a good person, but this almost crossed a level. He was this way up until the end which was really annoying. At some point, I would've loved for him to pull his big boy pants up and get it together.
Heart I really fell for. He has a bad upbringing but I loved how he was trying to do the right thing in his life. It made me sad that he didn't feel like anyone could love him.
Lucky was a good addition for these two.

Man Mason isn't kidding. He does have a problem. He's somehow found himself dating two men and falling for them both. And what does he do to fix said problem, why suggest they all date each other.
I was weary going into this. I was really pulling for Heart and Mason in the previous books. I didn't know how I felt about adding a third, Lucky, to the mix. I needn't have worried though. Lucky fit in with them seamlessly. Heart and Mason are both insecure in their own different ways and Lucky just wanted to take care of them. He was their rock.
It was fun seeing the 3 navigate this new triangle. Mason come out his shell, Heart learning to trust again, and Lucky stepping out of his strict comfort zone. It worked and you could see the love between them all. Of course the heat between the 3 was downright damnnnnn. Another great addition to the series.
