this book was easy to get through and kept me entertained. the premise was interesting and i liked that the authors shed a light on gender differences in the workplace.
however i had a really hard time liking the characters. i found both carter and evie to be pretty annoying and also kind of overdramatic. carter especially i felt like would get upset over very small things.
i also think the resolution came very quickly and out of the blue. overall the book was okay, but i won’t read again.

On its surface this book sounded really similar to the Hating Game, but once I started reading it, I much preferred Dating You/Hating You.
I really like Carter and Evie and seeing them fall for each other and realize they wanted each other more than they wanted the promotion was lovely to see. I also really liked the dynamic that Evie was older than Carter because you don't see that too often in romance novels.
I got a little worried when the hijinks started to ensue because I am personally not a fan of pranks and hate being pranked on but luckily it was not a major plot point and it was silly enough not to distract from the story.
I also throughly enjoyed the epilogue and thought this book wrapped up so well. Add this book to the pile of CL books I adore.
