I am very happy this book improved upon all but one of the issues I had with the first book. Because this is book two, the character and world descriptions were not an issue this time. I felt I could imagine and immerse into the setting. I love when authors give synopsis in the beginning to remind the reader of where we are in the series. Our two FMCs, and a few of our side characters, grow and  change for the better in this book. Without spoilers, there is a moment of poetic justice. Also the  pacing worked for me and I was more engaged. My problem still remains with the classification of this book. It reads really young. Yet again I picked up on the plot twist fairly early which takes away the fun and shock factor. Overall it redeemed the series for me and I look forward to reading book 3.

“No matter how hard we try all we do is kill the people we love.”

This is a sequel, so I’ll keep it short and sweet.

First of all, I think Cursebound was just as engaging as Faebound. I also think it expanded the story in a great way. It felt like the world and lore got a bit more complicated but not in a way that made it confusing. I enjoyed the addition of a new and mysterious main character and all the different POVs. Sadly, I’m still not super invested in the romance arcs. I do like the characters and I like the pairings, so I don’t really know what it is that I’m missing…

The plot was just as fast-paced as it was in the first book and I’m excited to see how it all will end in the final book.

I need the next onnnnneee 😭 I knew I was starting an unfinished trilogy. It was so good 💯 worth it. Love the characters and how different they all are. I feel like it was predictable only in the sense that I felt like I knew how the characters would react to choices others made. I really love this series. And the way this ended… such a big breakthrough 😱

This woman KNOWS how to set up a trilogy - that ending oh my god
