This is another one of those books that I waited too long to write the review and now I can't remember anything about it, which says a lot about a story...

I will say, I assumed the story of this book by the cover, and I was so wrong. Avery is a high school girl that has had a rough life and is trying her best to secure a future for herself. When she is randomly pulled out of high school, she's not expecting it to be because her name is listed on a will for a deceased millionaire. To access the majority of the inheritance, she's required to stay in his mansion... where the remaining family lives and is not happy about this surprise.

There's a lot of action and relationship building that happens for Avery throughout this book. However, due to her still being in high school and so young, it created a mental block for me to really enjoy. I think that this story could have benefited and been a little more realistic if the characters were at least in college.
