I have Hamnet and Judith in an Audible book. Truly well written and the narrator was great. I like the interpretation of seeing how William Shakespeare's life was with his family was, his relationship with his wife and children. The end seemed odd. A bit rushed to be honest.

A heart-wrenching and beautiful story of love, loss and family. The author’s prose is unlike any other I have read as she seamlessly seesaws back and forth between a past and present narrative centering around Shakespeare’s wife and son. The fact that it is not meant to be taken as entirely historically accurate does not detract at all from the story, the characters will easily endearing themselves to you and the story will touch your heart.

Heartbreakingly beautiful. Now I've been to dramaschool, did a whole course on Shakespeare and love reading anything about him/his family, fiction or not.

This was not only beautiful and sad (I was close to tears honestly), but also... in a strange way kind of confronting to read in the Covid days we live in. How desease can spread fast and the effect it can have on families...

All in all, I highly recommend this book. 100% understand why this was Waterstones book of 2020 ❤
