So I enjoyed this book for the most part, particularly for the focus on losing a parent. I think it would have been more enjoyable if it was a little less “sweet” as the story progressed, kinda feel like I have a cavity now.
The male lead was not super realistic so that kinda hurt the overall appeal of the book. Too perfect to be real

1.5 stars, but i had to round down because the main character really said “it’s not easy being a short, curvy, dark-haired woman in a barbie world” with her whole chest as if being a petite white woman makes her oppressed ,, ridiculous how immature and forgettable both the main character and love interest are: chemistry ?? none. personality ?? none. the main character reads like a wattpad fangirl (there was even the “messy bun at the top of her head” line), and everyone makes terrible decisions, and for what ?? there was supposed to be a custody battle going on, and i genuinely forgot about it because it was only brought up when convenient because the pacing was just so off. the plot twist was so predictable, and the third act conflict happened at the 86% mark and which made everything so rushed and unbelievable ,, wack

It is a totally unremarkable book and slightly annoying with the whole “fan girl” thing. Would a television star really fall for some “fan girl”? I don’t fine the premise very believable.
