This is a fast-paced read once you get into it. It was enjoyable and teaches a great lesson about not taking your life, friends and family for granted. Cute especially if you love 13 going on 30.

Reading alongside with the many 5th graders who picked it up at our book fair. Was hoping it would hit the realistic fiction sweet spot of those awkward pre-YA reading years, but I think this misses that mark. I love 13 Going on 30 and this is what the author hoped to achieve - a TikTok filtered, Taylor Swift scored replica. Didn’t quite hit the mark for me, mixed reviews from my students, but I still think it was one of the better offerings for this age group this fair.

Jen really said “13 going on 30” but make it with modern age technology? Great book written by an amazing author!

12 to 22 is a an amazing remake of a movie that many adults have grown up with and loved. It is perfect for fans of Taylor Swift and social media. For that reason, I believe that it is great for middle graders and beyond. Even though I am not the target audience, I still found that the message of this book resonated with me. Don't wish your life away because it is beautiful in different ways at every stage. Oftentimes, we are looking forward to the next stage of life without really taking time to pause and reflect on all that we have accomplished. This book reminds us that each stage of life may not be easy but it is necessary for each of us to grow as people.

It's a Modern day 13 going on 30 book. Pretty good.

A 13 Going on 30 retelling for a middle grade audience.

Even though I didn't get the Taylor Swift nuances and am not a huge fan of social media stories. I did like that this story had a moral, that our main character found herself in a tough situation of waking up and being 22, and then saw how she turned out and decided to make some changes. I think this story has a good idea for younger people, about how being in the "it" crowd isn't necessarily a good thing, and that people can take advantage of you without realizing it.

*thank you #netgalley for a previous copy of this book to read and review.

I liked this redo of 13 going on 30. I like that different parts were lighthearted and reflective.
